We've got another launch title to add to the list!
William Chyr Studio has confirmed that indie first-person puzzle game Manifold Garden is getting an upgrade for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, available as a "timed exclusive".
According to the developer, the next-gen version will run at native 4K, 60fps on Xbox Series X, and 1440p with the same high settings & frame rate on Xbox Series S. Sounds good to us!
It'll also be available with Smart Delivery, so if you already own the Xbox One version of Manifold Garden which released this past August, you'll get a free upgrade to the enhanced edition.
As for why this version is releasing exclusively for Xbox Series X|S (and not PS5) for now, producer Syrenne McNulty explained on ResetEra that it's due to "limited resources and only having five people working full time on the team."

That’s great news.
Great news but gonna give editors some ideas now ("Upgraded version exclusively on ZZZZZ ! BUUUYSSSS")
@kamalen it's not that hey buy it in ps5 they just don't have the resources to produce a ps5 version and xbox series at the same time.
@Terrin Oh I trust the honesty of this particular studio. But now that the door is open, I don't have much faith into the big publishers.
@Kamalen I'm trying to figure out what you mean.
Are you saying that more companies will only put a next gen verison on one platform due to financial backing of the platform holder?
@Terrin Exactly this. As games costs more and more each passing year, exclusivity deals will get too expensive for platform owners. But could and will see quality options being exclusive in the near future.
@Kamalen that’s already occurring though. Sony locked and entire mode for COD last year and MS locked Yakuza’s next gen features til next year.
Not that I think locking anything up is smart; it’s better than entire game I guess or character. But I suspect, in the future, instead entire games locked you’ll see more and more with special features. It’s more annoyance than anything...
