Frontier Developments has confirmed that Planet Coaster: Console Edition will be getting a free next-gen upgrade on Xbox One this holiday, confirmed to be Smart Delivery by the game's official box art.
This means you'll be able to pick up the Xbox One copy of the game whenever it drops later this year (we're still waiting on a date), and get access to the Xbox Series X/S version at no extra cost.
In addition, the team has also shared a new look at some of the ways to play in Planet Coaster: Console Edition, including a brand-new tutorial and difficulty settings, as seen in the video above.
Will you be building the park of your dreams in Planet Coaster on Xbox this holiday? Let us know below.

This smart delivery thing is something, shame other companies like SONY and Activision aren't doing it.
Anyone know if this will have keyboard and mouse support?
@wazza99999 Lately there have been some games getting it, so I assume it will knowing Microsoft is pushing that and these consoles are pretty PC grade.

@wazza99999 @CRAZYGREG0511 Yep, it will
@MrConstantina You beat me to it!
@CRAZYGREG0511 This was announced yesterday for PS5 as well. I still think that, at least with 3rd party games, the smart delivery thing will apply the same for PS5 like here - its just Sony didn't call it some cool name the way MS did. And wouldn't be surprised if Sony end up doing the same with their first party stuff.
Best thing with the Sony / MS competition is that as one company does something first, if its any good the competition will copy it.
Although doesn't always work for the best - like MS charging for online first then Sony realising they could also cash in. Just hoping if MS going free online as per the rumours then Sony can follow for the better too.
Paying online for both consoles just seems too much - and now with Nintendo also charging it can get a bit too expensive!
@StonyKL Well I don't like the idea of rebuying Spiderman again.
@CRAZYGREG0511 Yeah same here - I think that would have gone down a lot better if they offered a free "Smart Delivery" upgrade or the option of the upgraded version for a cost but as I mentioned earlier, that's the best thing about the Sony/MS competition. I would been amazed if they did that with the likes of God of War, Last of Us 2 or Ghost of Tsushima after the backlash of Spiderman. Shooting themselves in the other foot if they did!
Yeah Sony has the Nintendo mindset of reselling the same games forever as new games plus minot enhancements. They know they can get away with it because their games are beloved and their customers filled with brand fanatics. I'm starting to think of Sony fans like the girls walking around with "juicy" written across their rear ends because "designer label"
Ms would do it too if their games had that following. But other than Halo they don't, and they did resell the Halo remaster, but bundled three games and then 2 others as cheap dlc.
I totally missed this was even coming to console. Color me hyped as hell. Nice to have the real Roller Coaster Tycoon on my Xbox.
