LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Delayed Until 2021, Gameplay Reveal Tomorrow

Update (Wed 26th Aug, 2020 19:45 BST): The saga continues! LEGO has now removed the phrase "The Skywalker Saga - Coming 2021" from its website, replacing it with "The Skywalker Saga - Coming Soon".

Whether this means the 2021 date was an error or slipped it out prematurely remains to be seen, but hopefully we'll get some concrete answers on this tomorrow.

Update (Wed 26th Aug, 2020 19:00 BST): Unfortunately, we've got some bad news to share - it looks like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been delayed until 2021.

This has been revealed via the official LEGO website, which now simply states "The Skywalker Saga - Coming 2021" with no further details (thanks to pX user redd214 for the tip).

We're assuming we'll get some kind of update on this during tomorrow's gameplay reveal, but it remains to be seen whether a specific release date other than "2021" will be provided for now.

Original story (Wed 26th Aug, 2020 16:00 BST): This is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! Geoff Keighley has revealed that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will get its world premiere gameplay reveal tomorrow, August 27th.

The unveiling will be part of the Gamescom Opening Night Live event, which will take place over two hours from 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST, with a pre-show beginning 30 minutes earlier.

With any luck we might also get an official release date as part of the event, as it was originally suggested that the game was coming in October by the Star Wars YouTube channel before that video was quietly removed.

Do you think the Force will be strong with this one? Let us know if you're excited for the reveal below.
