The website for Yakuza: Like a Dragon is now live following its unveiling during Inside Xbox earlier today, and it includes pre-order information for various platforms. But while you can't actually pre-order the game for Xbox One or Xbox Series X yet, you can get a look at some next-gen placeholder box art.
As you can see in the tweet below, the placeholder art shows a box that encompasses both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X via Smart Delivery and has a big 'Xbox Series X Optimised' badge in the top-right.
This obviously won't be the game's final box art, but the Xbox elements could make it into the end product. It's also interesting that there's a blank space next to Xbox One - is this being reserved for the Xbox Series S? Only time will tell.
What do you think of this placeholder box art? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

"...including pre-order links. You can't actually pre-order the game for Xbox One or Xbox Series X yet, however..."
What does clicking on the links do, then? 😂
@gingataisen Nothing! You can pre-order for PC, but Xbox and PS just have the box art. I'll make a quick change to avoid confusion.
I should really jump on playing Yakuza via Game Pass before it disappears sometime down the road. I have never actually played the games before and now seems like a good time to start.
I am not really into the Yakuza franchise (or most Japanese games, in general), but this is great news for fans of this franchise.
I would make the green rupee smaller.
@BlueOcean Just place it on the back. As it stands now, it's tacky as all he'll and makes wanna buy PlayStation variants just I can actually see the art in question.
My reaction:
Keep it minimalistic Microsoft. Sony has slightly better cases overall and I'd like Xbox not to butcher the covers of games. To some degree, covers are a selling point for many people
@Alpha-2002 I wouldn't go that far because I want the better hardware and controller but I agree that it should be small and placed on the back. I think that this is just provisional, Microsoft gave them the logo and they put it on a placeholder just like that. I really doubt that we will see that huge logo on the final boxes.
