Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 7-8)

Nioh 3 and it’s going to be that way for a while!

Except for trying the Pragmata demo, which is very promising but I'm a bit concerned the hacking while fighting gets old fast, I've paused all other games and only been focusing on:

Fallout 4 - I've been continuing my journey through the wasteland and I'm a bit surprised that I'm enjoying it as much as I do, given the the game suffers from a couple of flaws and imo is weaker than 3 and NV. I think one obvious part of that is that exploring the wasteland is awesome, but also that I dont remember all the details of the story or the different factions, and I have forgotten many of the side quests too and some of them are pretty good and that makes it all feel fresh. I'm at the end of the main story/stories (doing all the endings, then the platinum) but I havent decided which end to stick with. Probably BoS 🙂

Still trying to get the platinum for Borderlands 4 and I've downloaded Undisputed and Fallout 76 so maybe give 1 of them a try later because I'm getting a little bored of BL4.

Still hunting in MHW , a lot of good games arrived on game pass but I try to play only one game at a time.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined for me and playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes with my son.

I finished Resident Evil Village, which I enjoyed while it lasted, but I doubt I’d play it again.

I’m currently engrossed with Talos Principle 2 on Game Pass. It’s very satisfying when you solve what originally looked like an impossible puzzle, also the story is interesting.

If I’m in the mood, I might play a bit more Indika as well. Have a nice weekend!

Don't start with Zero, start with Kiwami 1.
Unpopular opinion, yes, but it's shorter, it's the first one after all, and it will give you a good idea of what the series is all about.
If you like Kiwami 1 you'll probably like the whole series.
Zero is amazing and has one of the best stories in the series, but it's like 30-35 hours just for the main story. Could easily go to twice that with side stuff.

I'll be playing helldivers 2 onwards to cyberstan!!
Arrowhead are really going all out with this story arc with the automations hacking the DSS and also the companion app!
But don't believe there propaganda fellow divers total victory is the only option!
Also playing indika it's dark weird funny and I have no idea whats happening but I love it.

Space Marine 2 (that I bought last month in the sale before it came to Gamepass - always the way). So much fun.

Also having a great time messing around with mods on Skyrim which I've never done before. You really can turn it into a pretty modern version of itself. And it's still a magnificent game.

And also playing Tales of Vesperia on the Switch for some classic JRPG action.

@Lup is it worth playing without the side stuff? Kinda wanna try em but there's so many 🤣 worth playing this new one without any before?

@Kezelpaso You sound like you'll most likely end up starting with this one. Just keep in mind that very early in Pirate Yakuza YOU WILL BE HARD SPOILED about the ending of Infinite Wealth.

@Lup The problem with that is that Kiwami was meant to be played after Y0, it builds on that instead of Y1. Starting with Y0 is better, but at the same time you miss little references to a lot of previous games.

Starting with Y1+Y2 is objectively the best start if you don't want to miss anything, but that is also a problem by itself lmao

People should play Judgment if they just want to "see what the hype is all about." It's a fresh entry, doesn't spoil a thing, and it's one of the best ones.

More Valheim this weekend, Atomic Heart and Dead Island 2, have a good weekend!

I'd say half the fun are the substories, which are all little self-contained side-missions.
My advice would be to at least try that part of the side content and see if it's to your liking.
If you don't care about the spoilers from the one before Pirate Yakuza, yeah. But at the same time this one's kinda different from most Yakuza games.
It's really good, my personal GOTY from 2025, but it's easily the crazier, less serious one in the series.

Yeah, and Zero was meant to be played after Yakuza 1-5. So you will always miss some stuff.
I'd say it's better to miss stuff from only one game than to miss stuff from five.
