Microsoft has officially announced December 2021's Xbox Games with Gold, giving us a look at four more games we'll be able to play at no extra charge with our Gold memberships next month.
In case you missed it, the games are Xbox One titles The Escapists 2 and Tropico 5 – Penultimate Edition, along with Xbox 360 (backwards compatible) games Orcs Must Die! and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.
The first games will be made available in a week's time, so we want to know how you feel about next month's selection, as well as which title you're most looking forward to below. Are these some good Christmas gifts?

It's the worst GWG month I've ever seen..
They are free. Not sure how or why should be any complaints.
I'm happy with the Escapists 2 not unhappy with the rest just don't think I'll play em ,
But to be honest games of gold means nothing to me anymore since game pass , I just look forward to what game pass is handing out
At this point they need to just stop with Games with Gold the stuff they give us is just insulting.
@GuyinPA75 not sure how or why people think live gold is a free subscription yet here we are.

I was a beta tester for Xbox live and since then a consistent member of Xbox live for at least 19 years. And I've only received games with gold for several years now.
Guess Xbox owes me 19 years worth of games. You guys are really top level on Xbox knowledge.

@GuyinPA75 Xbox live gold is a paid subscription that is required to play games online except the the few FTP games & that was only recently changed the 'free' games every month are just to make the service look more valuable than it actually is when you can go on pc & play Forza , gears of war , halo MCC etc online without needing to pay for a subscription makes you wonder why console players are charged for playing online

The fact is Gold isn't free. Thus tbe games aren't free.

I'm not swayed one way or the other by this crop of games. Handy to have in the back pocket though.
No complaints here. Will play 3 out of 4 of these, a good scorecard in my book.
One of the good things about GWG is that most months I've never heard of many of the titles, so it helps with potentially discovering a hidden gem.

I already own all of these games so while there's nothing for me it's still a solid month and I'm happy for anyone that never played the 360 titles. You're getting two absolute gems.
Honestly, games for Gold have been very mediocre and forgettable since I got Gamepass. Only the Xbox 360 classics seem worthwhile as you can just keep them regardless of subscription status.
