Massive Entertainment has confirmed that Tom Clancy's The Division has been delayed. Originally due to launch in late 2014, the title has been pushed back to 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Massive stated that "Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready."

They went on to confirm that the game will at least be present in video form at E3, which kicks off next month.

This is another one of those games that I don't mind being delayed. Not because I'm not interested in it, I totally am, but because of how ambitious the game appears to be. I'd rather Massive takes the time to deliver 100% on their vision.

@DRL You hit the nail right on the head. This is one of those games that will probably only get 1 good chance to 'make it' just because of the scope of what they are trying to do. If it's broken in any way at launch it's going to get crushed by a ton of other games that are not nearly as ambitious. I'm really looking forward to this but am perfectly happy to let it cook on the stove a while longer to make sure it's perfect.
