It would've been nice if he backed up that claim with some "exciting games". I'm skeptical but hopeful. There is a lot of potential with Kinect but so far the game lineup is not stellar.
@zhorzhio...that makes sense...but they marketed the hell out of it as a video game experience and a re-launching of the 360. That so far has been untrue; a near lie if you will. They need to deliver to the people who invested in Kinect as a result of that promise.
"Good work, Microsoft: now how about some games?" That sums it up right there. Congratulations to MS for a huge launch success with Kinect, but now it's time to deliver with software. We need some more info on the titles announced at TGS, and I hope (confident?) they have a few surprises planned also.
I can understand swinging at the ball without a peripheral, but how will they manage controlling your player around the court with Kinect? I realize some movement will be required, but it seems like a lot of ground would need to be covered, could get bumpy (literally) with 2 players.
The best innovations regarding Kinect are consistently generated by the hacker/indy coding community. There hasn't even been much (if any) news regarding the next wave of Kinect games since TGS. Not cool.
@ Ballkirby1: Agreed. It's good to see some progress with additional Kinect capabilities but judging from the video, it appears the facial recognition is going to be minimal. At least it's a start.
I'm predicting a lot of masturbatory motions, up-yours crosses, and other crowd pleasers.
I'm excited to learn more about Project Draco. I'm reserved regarding Star Wars...they could get the controls right for the force but I feel I'd want to hold something in regards to a lightsaber.
I bought a Kinect and only one game gets played. The software lineup is sad. The hackers are researching and creating some really interesting stuff; I hope MS has some innovative titles they will announce soon.

Re: Every Kinect Should Come With a Robot Like This One
Looks like for the foreseeable future, the coolest posts will be regarding hacked Kinect programs instead of official ones
Re: Michael Jackson Rocks With You in April
IMO, Dance Central has set the bar for dance-themed Kinect games. It needs to be AT LEAST as good to even consider.

Re: Kinect Destroys Sales Predictions to Rack Up 8 Million Sold
My fear is that by the time good software is consistently developed for the Kinect, it will be time for the next generation of consoles.

Re: Hey Microsoft, What is Avatar Kinect, Exactly?
This is either going to be very cool or very lame. That's my insightful contribution.
