Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (August 6-9)

Is it Thursday already?! That means it's time for a new batch of Xbox Free Play Days titles, and this week's selection is a particularly good one, featuring NBA 2K26 and a couple of Ghost Recon games amongst other things.

The highlight here for some people will be Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, which has literally just received a free upgrade for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S this afternoon.

However, it's worth noting that NBA and the two Ghost Recon games are already included with Xbox Game Pass for some subscribers, whereas Sports Renovations and Wax Heads aren't part of any tiers right now.

All of these games will be available to play until late on August 9th aside from the aforementioned NBA 2K26, and most are also on sale if you want to buy them permanently - Breakpoint and Wildlands are actually 90% off right now.

  2. Hit the "Install, Included with Game Pass" or "Free Trial" button
