Four New Indie Games Are Proving Highly Popular On Xbox Right Now

It looks like Xbox has been updating the "Top Paid" section of the Microsoft Store over the past few hours, and it highlights that four unlikely indie games in particular have all made their way into the top 50 list for "paid" downloads.

The one that's doing extremely well is Dispatch, which is the Telltale-style story game about a former superhero who runs a dispatch service for a group of ex-supervillains. It's been in the top five for quite some time now, and currently sits in third place behind just College Football 27 and Madden 27. The Digital Deluxe Edition of Dispatch is also a bit further back in 61st place.

As you can see in the bottom-left corner of that image, Waterpark Simulator is also doing extremely well in seventh place. The low price and "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on Steam have surely contributed to this, and even though some people have reported issues with bugs, the majority of players seem to be having a good time with it.

The next one to mention is Shift at Midnight, which sits slightly further down in 13th position. This released as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass back in late July, serving as an online co-op detective horror title.

And finally, even though it's down in 48th place, we have to mention No More Room In Hell 2 because of how quickly it's climbed the charts, having only released back on Tuesday. We reckon this co-op shooter will climb much higher in the days to come, but to have made the top 50 "paid games" list in just a matter of days is extremely impressive.

The Microsoft Store is unfortunately slow to update lists like these, so it remains to be seen how all the other recent indie releases — such as Wild Blue Skies, Duskfade and Defender of the Crown — will fare in the days and weeks ahead.

An online co-op detective horror for up to 3 players. Work together across randomly generated shifts to investigate your customers, as some are only pretending to be human. Make one mistake, and you’ll be forced to board up, set traps, and hide.

No More Room In Hell 2 (#48 In The Chart)

No More Room in Hell 2 is an intense 8 player zombie shooter. Overcome the endless undead. Avoid infection. Survive hell together.
