Today's Ubisoft Forward showcase has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Mirage is very much real, and it's coming out in 2023! The game is set in Baghdad and stars Basim from AC: Valhalla, "a conflicted young orphan with a tragic past".

In the ninth century CE, Baghdad is at its height, leading the world in science, art, innovation, and commerce. Amid its bustling urban landscape, a conflicted young orphan with a tragic past must navigate the streets to survive. Experience the story of Basim in Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Although we haven't seen any gameplay yet, Ubisoft has gone into more depth about what to expect from Assassin's Creed Mirage in a "Developer Trailer Breakdown" which you can watch at the bottom of this article.

The game is also available to pre-order on Xbox One, Series X and Series S as of today, with Standard, Deluxe and Collector's editions available to purchase, and the latter seemingly being an exclusive on the Ubisoft Store.
