Update (Tue 19th Jul, 2022): We've finally got a release date for No More Heroes III (outside of Japan), which will be landing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on October 11th in North America, and October 14th in Europe.
The game will support Smart Delivery on Xbox, and in addition to the digital release, physical versions including a "Day 1 Edition" are available to purchase. You can find the Amazon link to the Day 1 Edition below.

The legendary assassin Travis Touchdown returns once again to the Garden of Madness! The evil Prince FU, a self-proclaimed superhero from the farthest reaches of the galaxy, has landed on Earth with his sights set on world conquest. In order to save humanity, our no-more-hero must fight to rise to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings, taking on each of FU's nine alien henchmen before he can earn a title match against the prince himself.
Thanks to sharper visuals, No More Heroes 3 has never looked better. Add in improved load times and better responsiveness, and you’ll be dishing out eye-popping ultra-violence in no time.
Original story (Wed 22nd Jun, 2022): Back in April, it was revealed the Nintendo Switch exclusive No More Heroes III would be jumping ship to other platforms including the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
It's now received an official release date for Japan - and will be arriving this location on October 6th for 6,800 yen. This updated version of the game will include 60fps as well as 4K resolution. Additionally, for the first time ever, there'll be a full Japanese audio option.
For Xbox owners in the west, the game is expected to arrive locally at some point this fall. There's no exact release date just yet, but if Japan's release is anything to go by, it shouldn't be too far away.
In the lead-up to the Japanese release, Marvelous will be hosting an official No More Heroes III live stream on June 30th - where some of the voice actors in the Japanese release will be playing through the next-generation versions of the game. You can learn more in our previous post.

I don't know... I still got the first one on Wii (yes, I still play Wii games from time to time) and all the fun came from the wiimote gameplay.
I don't know if this all sillyness can transfer properly to some kind of regular controls.
Does 1 and 2 made their way to Xbox ?

More definitive versions of third-party exclusives is always good news, most of all when they're elusive Japanese games.
The original 2 titles are on Steam. I’d consider getting them later during a sale as I’ve never tried the series before but heard good things. Hope the third gets localized to the west, I love my Switch but I prefer most of my multiplatform titles on PC or XBOX.
I would love to play this on xbox with better resolution and performance, but part of the charm of those games are the motion controls. So I'll keep playing them on Switch, I'm just beginning the second.
Just wish we’d get ports of the first two to go with it.
@Bobobiwan i think the difficult part with 1 and 2 coming to ps and xbox is that they heavily used the motion controls which makes it difficult

Bizarre that this would be ported but not the previous three games. Sadly as an adamant fan of the series, 3 is my least favorite. The combat is quick and enjoyable and the writing is as silly as ever, but the bulk of the game is generally a drag. Like they learned nothing from previous entries.
@Broosh I think a version of 1 (Paradise) is on the 360 in Japan.
@mousieone Yeah Heroes Paradise is an interesting port, but to my knowledge not BC with Xbone/Series. They literally ported the other games to Steam, so maybe they could still get ported (hopefully not riding the sales of 3 to determine).
