Burnout 3: Takedown (Xbox)

Burnout 3: Takedown is considered one of the best in the series. Sure, we have Burnout Paradise on the Xbox systems currently, but any excuse to smash our way to victory is always going to get us to root for it. The entry that introduced Takedowns to the series will always have a soft spot in our hearts and we'd be eager to see the origins of many racing gameplay features that are present today. Combined with its fast-paced arcade gameplay, you can't blame us for wanting it to return.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Xbox)

With the recent 2022 delay to Hogwarts Legacy, we would absolutely love to see the boy wizard return to the Xbox Series X. While there are many options to choose from, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is arguably the best of the bunch, offering a fully explorable Hogwarts, classes to attend and spells to learn. EA did a great job bringing the franchise to life with a wide series of games (particularly early on), and we'd love nothing more to see them revived through backwards compatibility.

Top Spin 4 (Xbox 360)

This might be a bit out of left-field, but it'd be great to see 2K's Top Spin 4 playable on modern consoles once again. Despite releasing all the way back in 2011, there haven't been too many tennis games on Xbox since, and 2K's broadcast style presentation and refined gameplay mode for an incredible sports title, but one that unfortunately never received a sequel. Licensing issues are probably the reason for TS4 not having been made backwards compatible until now, but who knows what the future holds!

Spider-Man 2 (Xbox)

Another title that most likely won't remerge due to licensing issues, but it still doesn't change the fact we'd love to see it. Almost everyone gaming at the time of the film's release had a copy of Spider-Man 2. You'd be hard pressed not to visit a friends house and see the game pulsating from the screen. It managed to perfectly embody the swinging of Spider-Man and also be a competent movie tie-in. While many games attempted the superhero formula, Spider-Man 2 was one of the first to make us feel like one. It'll most likely never arrive, but we can dream.

Singularity (Xbox 360)

BioShock paved a way for many games in the Xbox 360 era, Singularity being one of them. Even during its initial release, the game failed to make a massive impact, but later became a cult following for many. Developed by Raven Software, it serves as a first-person shooter with horror elements, centred around a plot involving time travel, giving you the power to change the age of objects and enemies and bend time to your will with a special Time Manipulation Device. It's definitely an Xbox 360 gem, and we'd love to see it make a return.

Tony Hawk's Underground (Xbox)

Tony Hawk's Underground was one of the biggest entries to hit the original Xbox platform and holds a nostalgic place in many hearts. Its blend of skating, open-world structure and even the ability to drive vehicles turned it into the biggest entry at the time. While we've received an absolute fantastic remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, we'd love to revisit one of the boldest changes for the series with this absolute gem.

Blur (Xbox 360)

There was a period back in 2010 when the Xbox 360 received two excellent, but underperforming arcade racing games - Split/Second, and Blur. The former is available with Xbox backwards compatibility, but the latter unfortunately never made the cut, and we'd love to see it make a triumphant return at some point in the future. The game mixed real world locations and cars with Mario Kart style power-ups and arcade handling, and it was a match made in heaven for those who were fortunate enough to get their hands on it.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy (Xbox)

You might be surprised to know that none of the original 3D Grand Theft Auto games are currently playable in their original Xbox forms on today's consoles. They were combined into a trilogy back in 2005 - GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas - but for whatever reason (most likely music licensing) have remained absent from the Xbox One and Xbox Series X generation thus far. Given that GTA 4 is playable with backwards compatibility, we continue to hold out hope that these classics will eventually make their way across.
