In line with the "Power Your Dreams" message that has accompanied the Xbox Series X|S launch, the company has done just that with one gamer.
By visiting the top of Copper Mountain in Colorado, Xbox managed to make one gamers dream come true by projecting Destiny 2: Beyond Light on the largest projected video ever conceived, clocking in at 180.15ft wide and 105.97ft tall - breaking the previous Guinness World Record.
Using three powerful projectors that have combined total of 120,000 lumens of power, the player was able to dive into Destiny 2: Beyond Light and begin tackling the chaotic combat. We can't imagine the Wi-Fi reception is entirely great up there, and it looks extremely cold, but there's no denying the beautiful snowy backdrop fits in with the game.

Wonder if they asked people what their dream in life was and someone answered "to play xbox really high up in the cold!". If they'd have asked me I would have said "playing xbox lying on a bed made of £50 notes, sandwiched between 2 weeks in the Maldives diving and 2 weeks in Whistler Snowboarding..... but to each their own...
My dream would be playing Xbox while laying next to Isla Fisher. 😁
I wonder if Microsoft could make that happen? 🤔
To be honest my dream wouldn’t involve playing Xbox but if I had to chose something involving the console it would probably be to see some PlayStation exclusives, Spider-Man, uncharted, Last of Us and so on
I'll wait for the DF analysis before I decide to buy a mountain. White balance looked a little off, contrast seems lacking, and edges seem slightly hazy. I'm just not sold on the graphics fidelity.
@NEStalgia That's because it's an XSX mountain. PC mountain is the real deal. But at least it's not a Switch port of the mountain.
Shame Microsoft couldn't break a record related to developing gamea for a change.
@Menchi I remember Whistler. #neveragain
I guess the question is: why? Probably one of the most useless records ever recorded. For a species that claims to be in constant hurry and suffer from lack of time humans sure can come up with useless endeavours.
@NEStalgia Well played
and at distance the only reason to do this is to say i did it...but at that distance that huge "sceen" was probably no bigger then a 19" sceen would be up close.
