It seems every day more and more games are getting revealed to be reaping the benefits of the next-gen consoles and Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is the latest to be announced.
As spotted by GamingBolt, Ubisoft shared the details in a recent State of Play stream for The Division 2 that title update 12.1 will arrive on February 2, 2021, bringing support for 4K resolution and 60 FPS for Xbox Series X owners.
It's unclear what benefits Xbox Series S owners will have at present as the developers also added that it will not be a dedicated optimization patch for next-gen, instead simply offering 4K resolution and 60 FPS.
Alongside news of the next-gen update, Ubisoft recently outlined title update 12 for The Division 2, which marks the return of the Optimisation Station as well as new challenges and various improvements coming alongside the new changes.
Will you be jumping back into The Division 2 for the next-gen update? Let us know in the comments below.

Awsome, So glad i haven't played it yet.. Bring on 60 FPS..
I hope they optimise AC Odyssey as well.
It’s all ok these upgrades etc. But most of us have played Division 2 to death.
Would rather they focus on new games and getting the best out of their just released games like assassins creed v and watch dogs legions.
Does no one in gaming move forward and want the best new games, the best they can be.
It’s like gaming has gone backwards, wasting developer time in the dam past.
Give us new, give the new to us at its best.
Wow ! I just bought it back to see how it's running on Series X !
Waiting for february and then returning to the game, then !
I might give it another go, although I finished the main story and the DLC not too long ago. I just wish there was a way to take my saves from PS4 to XSX. If I can avoid replaying from beginning, that would be great!
