The Xbox Game Pass team has announced that EA Play will no longer be joining Xbox Game Pass for PC today as originally planned, having been delayed until 2021 in order to better "provide the Xbox Game Pass experience."
In an update on Xbox Wire, the team noted that it was "asking for a little more patience", and that while no concrete date has been provided for EA Play's inclusion with the PC service as of yet, there will be "more to share early next year".
"We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could provide a great experience for members by working together. In order to deliver on that, we need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience."

Aww, I was looking forward to binging the older BioWare games and playing Dead Space 2.
Well that's pretty shady. I'd have to believe the issue is with EA as MS just sent out reminders recently so they clearly were expecting it to launch.. then again they did have the whole infinite debacle...
Pretty poor on both companies parts.
@nessisonett
You can.......on Xbox. Lol. 😉
Disappointing, but I understand the delay.
@KelticDevil If I had several hundred quid to drop then yeah sure 😂
"We put the backhoe we bought to rip Codemasters apart in front of the servers we needed to replace for Game Pass. Please give us additional time to finish the demolition of Codemasters, and then we'll get those servers up in a jiffy. Please look forward to NFS Rivals: Remastered!"
@GamingFan4Lyf
You do? Because they didn't really give a reason for the delay.
Yeah something tells me MS plans to let people play on the platform of their choice are being scaled back. They absolutely want you to buy a Series X.
@HungryHungryHomer I figured someone would eventually pick up on that.
The only response I have is a coy wink.
