Asobo Studios has unveiled the second free World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC, and this time it's bringing an "enhanced flight experience" to the United States of America.
The update features an improved digital elevation model with resolution up to one meter, new aerial textures that "significantly improve the appearance" in several states across the country, four new hand-crafted airports (Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth, Friday Harbor, and New York Stewart), visual improvements to 48 additional airports, and 50 new high-fidelity points of interest.
As if that wasn't enough, the new World Update also throws in some new activities including a Discovery Flight through some iconic locations on the eastern seaboard, and a new Bush Trip across the Alaskan wilderness.
You can check all of this out in the trailer above, and the update is now available now on Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Will you be cruising the skies of the USA later today? Let us know down in the comments below.

I can’t wait for this to come to Series X, though I’m dreading how much memory it’s gonna eat up!
I was all excited that maybe the game was available today on consoles. Oh well, waited this long, I guess.
I'm so excited to explore.
@Nightcrawler71 On PC it only uses just over 100GB, it could be further optimised for console. A lot of the data is streamed in from the cloud. Also keen to see how this will play on Series X, that's why I purchased the Windows store version, hopefully it will be play anywhere
