The Golden Joysticks 2020 awards took place last night in celebration of the best games of the past 12 months, and the big winner from an Xbox perspective was Moon Studios' Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
The sequel took home the Xbox Game of the Year award, beating seven other nominees to the punch, with the development team later thanking fans on Twitter in a heartfelt message.
"Thank you to every single person who has played Ori. We cried together. We laughed together. We raged together. But most importantly, we felt the impact one small spirit can have on their whole world together."
- Bleeding Edge
- Deep Rock Galactic
- Minecraft Dungeons
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps
- Tell Me Why
- Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2

The other standout from an Xbox perspective during the Golden Joysticks 2020 awards was Minecraft, which secured the 'Still Playing' and 'Best Gaming Community' awards during the multi-hour event.
