Microsoft and Apple might not be on the best terms in recent times, but there's still some level of cooperation.
Apple says the tech giants are currently "working together" to bring Xbox Series X controller support to its devices. Right now, iOS and iPadOS devices do not officially support Microsoft's new controller.
“Microsoft and Apple are working together to bring compatibility for the Xbox Series X controller to customers in a future update.”
Apple previously worked with Microsoft to bring Xbox Elite 2 and Xbox Adaptive controller support to iOS 14.
There's no word on when this Xbox Series X controller update will be rolled out on Apple devices. In the meantime, tell us if you can see yourself making use of this support in the comments below.

Give Game Pass support too, while you’re at it.
It isn't something I have any plans to use but I am glad they are working on compatibility.
@JoakimZ Not likely that there will be a native app anytime soon. Although it looks like they are working on a progressive web app like stadia is about to launch. It will be interesting to see how well that works.
I’m quite deeply entrenched in the Apple eco-system. I was disappointed when I learnt about Game Pass but even more when I discovered that my new controllers didn’t work as controllers.
I hardly leave the house these days, so when the controller support lands I’ll be happy to use remote play on my iPad. It’s the closest us Apple users will get to Game Pass streaming.
