Anyone fancy a bit of R-Type on Xbox? Go on, then.
Granzella Inc has revealed that it's bringing side scrolling shooter R-Type Final 2 to Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X in Spring 2021, and it will offer a free next-gen upgrade via Smart Delivery.
The game is part of a cult arcade franchise that began life all the way back in the late 1980s, and R-Type Final 2 itself underwent a very successful Kickstarter campaign during the middle of last year.

What a brilliant game R-Type is. I've had it on the Spectrum right through to the One X and I'll be getting this one too.

Very excited for this! Though I may go for the switch version. I like my shmups in portable mode.
Call me crazy, but I wish one of these old shmups somehow evolved into a cabin-perspective arcade 3D shooter.
