Xbox boss Phil Spencer has been taking to Twitter today to thank the Xbox community for its "really great" support on PC, incorporating both Xbox Game Pass and Steam in that category.
In his message, Spencer acknowledged that the team still has work to do on PC (and has rightfully earned scepticism in the past), but indicated that the brand has enjoyed a lot of success on the platform recently:
His statement follows a fantastic few days for Xbox Game Studios on Steam in particular - the likes of Grounded, Microsoft Flight Simulator and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are some of the top sellers on the platform right now, and Sea of Thieves quickly become a top seller when it launched there in June as well.
Do you play Xbox games with Xbox Game Pass for PC and/or Steam? Let us know in the poll & comments.

This comment is made from how it benefits me, and not how I view the "Xbox brand" overall and what the practices are doing or perceived to be doing to it.
Halo 5 was the last Xbox One game I played because everything after that was on PC at the same time, thankfully. I love that Microsoft have been bringing their games to PC day and date (sometimes even 1st to PC, with Gears Tactics, etc) as I enjoy many of their games and I never have to worry about terrible console level performance and/or visuals.
I wish every console maker would do "their console + PC" as I hate playing a good game and it has low resolution or terrible frame rate or even the mess that was FF7R because of console limitations running out of texture memory.
I thought that Square Enix would delay FFVII for the next generation. It wouldn't surprise me to see a next-gen version mostly because the second chapter will be next-gen only.
@Medic_Alert My favourites were all the pictures captioned "oh nice homage, they even used the original geometry/textures!"
Push Square users hate me because they refuse to acknowledge that Sony money led to an inferior experience of a 3rd party game. The users praised Sony for locking it to PS4. The same users were also up in arms over Microsoft getting Yakuza 7 timed next gen exclusivity.
@BlueOcean I wish they would've just went with a next gen launch title. So many problems with that game.
343i has said that MCC will get cross play, and this couldn't be better news.
I have friends on PC, but half of us stick to console. This commitment from Xbox to support PC and console, and provide crossplay means it doesn't matter anymore. We can all play how we want and still play together.
I think it’s great what Microsoft is doing in the PC space right now. And it’s easy $ for them. It feels like a no brainer.
I just use the Windows Store. I have close to three hundred games on Xbox PC now.
@Menchi PushSquare is a hypocrisy nest.
@Link41x I use the Microsoft store as well because I usually play on console and Play Anywhere gives you an Xbox game and a free PC version.
if it worked on windows 7 i would. but ive no plans to bother with windows 10 since windows 7 works great for all games ive played outside of gamepass and i already know the ins and outs of it.
needs windows 7 support.
