Xbox Owners Have Made Over 100,000 Donations To Help Fight Coronavirus

We know a fair chunk of the Pure Xbox community loves completing Xbox Game Pass Quests for Microsoft Rewards Points, but did you know that if you're in the US, you can donate those points to help fight coronavirus? And when you do, Microsoft will match your donation one-to-one.

This has been going on for a few weeks now, and the company recently announced that over a hundred thousand individual donations have been made to the CDC Foundation so far, contributing to hundreds of thousands of dollars donated by Microsoft Rewards members.

If you want to know how to donate, here's what you need to do (US only):

  1. Go to the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox One (and sign up if need be)
  2. Earn points via quests, punch cards, purchases and more
  3. Hit the donation button in the Microsoft Rewards app (1k points = $1)

Additionally, you'll find a small handful of punch cards on the app giving out free Microsoft Rewards Points inspired by the campaign. As of a few days ago, you can now also donate to two new global foundations - the United Nations Foundation and GlobalGiving, so feel free to take your pick when making your donation.

Have you signed up for Microsoft Rewards yet? What do you think of this idea? Let us know below.
