Update: It's also been announced the game will be available via Xbox Game Pass on launch day!
Original story: It's happening! 26 long years since the release of Streets of Rage 3 for the Sega Genesis (!), the next entry in the series is finally on its way to Xbox One later this month. Co-developer and publisher Dotemu announced in a Tweet that the game will be available on April 30th at a price of $24.99 in the US.
A new trailer has also been released for the title, which you can see above. It shows off some gameplay, as well as announcing the return of Battle Mode. The game will feature four-player local co-op and two-player online support.

This looks sick!
Turns out they are adding this to Xbox Game Pass! Great stuff
I'm going to support this game on all 3 consoles because I never thought it was ever going to happen. Streets of Rage was my favorite series of games in the 16-bit era and SoR 2 is still my all-time favorite Genesis game. A lot of missed opportunities over the years but the waiting for a fourth entry is finally over. Hopefully it lives up to the original trilogy.
Nice! Will be playing on Game Pass!
Day one Gamepass! I’ll buy it further down the road when it goes on sale.
Once more, with justice burning within us, we must walk, the Streets of Rage...
I love that this is coming to Game Pass day 1.
Damn I want game pass! Hurry up fiber optic internet and get to my house!
I will still purchase this to show my support. My fists are ready! 😎
What a service, guys! What a service!!!!
