It Looks Like Apex Legends Is Getting An Xbox Series X Port

The popular free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends looks like it'll be getting an Xbox Series X port according to a new job listing. The role, advertised by developer Respawn Entertainment via the EA Careers site, says the company is looking to "push next-gen platforms and the PC to their limits" on the game (thanks GamesRadar).

Fans of the game won't be particularly surprised by the news, of course. Apex Legends remains one of the most popular free-to-play titles on Xbox One, but until now, nothing has been said about a potential next-gen update.

It also remains to be seen how games like Apex Legends will work with backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X. We're assuming we'll be able to play it from day one on the console, but whether a separate, Xbox Series X enhanced version will also be released for the system at launch is anyone's guess right now.
