The hype train is in full effect for the upcoming release of Cyberpunk 2077, which drops on Xbox One later this September. It has big shoes to fill following the massive success of developer CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but Lead Quest Designer Pawel Sasko has taken to Twitter to give a very confident prediction indeed.
Responding to an IGN poll about the top ten modern RPGs of all time, the designer noted the community's love for The Witcher 3, but suggested the poll will soon be outdated:
Of course, he's just having a bit of fun with this. But the designer's confidence in Cyberpunk 2077 is refreshing to see, even if not everyone is convinced in the comments. Replying to someone who complained that gameplay footage has been in short supply, Sasko insisted that "I know that it may sound like a lot, but you can trust us."
Do you think Cyberpunk 2077 will live up to expectations when it releases in September? Let us know below.

@Incarna Would you expect anything else from IGN? While I quite liked the Witcher for its world-buildong, the gameplay was awful, so I think I'll be skipping Cyberpunk.
@Incarna remember you can't spell ignorant without ign.
I'm really looking forward to this coming out, unless they really blow it (unlikely) its pretty much guaranteed to be a great game. How great tho remains to be seen.
@SuperNintendoMii people are still using that in 2020 lol
I thought Witcher 3 was an absolute slog to play but I am looking forward to Cyberpunk. Going to (hopefully) hold off to play it opn next gen, cant wait!
I loved the Witcher 3 and I don't see why this game can't be as good or even better than Witcher 3. I will wait for the Series X though before I buy the game
