Update: (Tue 31st Mar, 2020 12:05 BST): Dynamic Voltage Games has now provided gameplay footage of Orphan of the Machine (1080p/60fps for now), which you can see above. It also describes the game's inspirations as the following:
Original Story: (Mon 30th Mar, 2020 13:00 BST): If you were browsing Pure Xbox last week, you might remember a story about a developer planning to reveal a 4K, 120FPS Xbox Series X exclusive in the near future. Well, we now have more details on the game, including screenshots and a title — Orphan of the Machine.
Again, Dynamic Voltage Games posted this on Twitter, revealing five new images alongside the title/logo. We've embedded their tweet below, but you can find higher-quality screenshots on their account as well:
Dynamic Voltage Games hasn't revealed any concrete details about the game yet, but suggests more info (and possibly a video) will be revealed later today, so we'll update this post accordingly if so. Additionally, the dev has confirmed the game is targeting a native 4k/120fps release during the "launch window" of the Xbox Series X.

That looks like Ecco the bloody Dolphin to me! It's been too long since Defender of the Future.
Cool to see an XSX exclusive already, but until there is more information.....it’s hard to get too excited.
Somehow, I went into this with no expectations, and yet it's still not at all what I expected.
First they come in with the big numbers "4K 120fps exclusive to be revealed for Xbox Series X!" which to me sounded like something maybe not entirely revolutionary, but at least still quite big, so the expectation level, although cautious, did rise.
And then they reveal.... a 2.5D "Eccovania"?
Mind you, it could still be a fun enough game, but what with all the drum beating and secrecy beforehand, I'd say that this is definitely nothing to be so secretive or proud about for the Xbox brand. It's little more than a glorified indie title, basically, far as I can see now.
Expectation levels went from cautiously excited to MASSIVE disappointment. What a farce... (shakes head)
@ThanosReXXX What this generation has taught me is that indie titles can easily keep up with, if not surpass, most AAA games for me.
@ShaiHulud True enough, and that's also why I said that it could still be an enjoyable experience in its own right, but all the hum drum they made about it, made it sound like it was going to be one HUMONGOUS, epic, one of a kind, never before seen experience, what with the whole "4K 120fps Xbox Series X exclusive", as if it was going to be some kind of system seller.
This game could be good, and maybe even many other things, but a system seller it's most definitely NOT.
Ecco the Dolphin remake! If a game isn't that graphically or CPU heavy, its easy to hit 4k 120 fps and this looks almost as basic as it gets. The animations - what 'few' there are are poor - look at the tail of the Dolphin - what's the point of 120fps if the animation is so poor?
Its early days but nothing I have seen so far makes me interested in this...
Yeah, this game may run in 4K/120 but it's pretty ugly all the same. I love the Ecco games but this hasn't got me convinced.
@ThanosReXXX Fair enough!
