When looking at upcoming releases as a gamer it is very easy to get distracted by the big names. Destiny, Watch_Dogs, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain just to name a few. While I can't wait to get my hands on these titles the one game that has captured the most of my attention is Ubisoft's Child of Light.

A throw back to the role paying games of yesteryear Child of Light places you in a dream like, water colour world that you must save. As Aurora you travel across the land of Lemuria and face foes on your quest to restore the kingdom and return home to your father. A co-op adventure that is family friendly and has stunning visuals (thanks to the UBIart framework) Child of Light is something to look forward to.

Having a classic turn based combat system and side scrolling platforming among a host of crafting combinations Child of Light seems to be an adventure that has just as much substance game play wise as it does pure artistic allure.

With the April 30th release date approaching check out this trailer and let us here at Pure Xbox know if you are as excited as I am.

I am really looking forward to this one. I'm really hoping that they can follow up on the teaser campaign and provide a game that really gets the job done. I might even defy my usual convention and have to rope someone in to run through this in co-op, I think!

Turn-based combat. Grumble sigh.

@TheBase287:  And what is wrong with turn-based combat might I ask?

This is actually the first time I have heard of it but I will be checking it out.  Probably get it on the PS4 since that and a Dreamcast are the only systems I have hooked up now.

Really excited to see how much customization of skills I have. This is  a game I want to try both single player and co-op to see how much it changes the experience ^_^ I'll join you for some Power Stone after I play this @Tasuki hahaha
