Hi,
I'm new to this, just bought Xbox ONE and I can not find the answer to these simple questions:
1. Couch co-op (2-player offline, split screen...)
I would like to play a game using 2 game pads. I found a list of supported games (i.e. Fifa) but do I need Xbox live GOLD subscription for this or the 'free' Xbox live is enough? I think this is why it si called "offline multiplayer" as you do not need to be online actually...
2. Cross-play PC and Xbox
I would like to play Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox and at the same time on PC - multiplayer. I have a 'play anywhere version' of this game and FH3 supports cross-play. Again, do I need Xbox live GOLD subscription on Xbox to do so?
3. ONLINE multiplayer as such, I read that I need xbox live GOLD subscription, but in point 2 above, I intend to play at home, not with any other users.
Thanks!

@pumukly for couch co-op, both the players on the same console, you do not need Gold for any of the games (as far as I know) but to cross play with PC or PS, even in the same house, you will need it (again as far as I know). I hope this helps?

As above, couch co-op, such as split screen (one console, one tv and two controllers) does not need live. Games such as Borderlands, Sky Force and Diablo should have no issue in this regard.

Understood, thanks for clarification!
