If like me you love grabbing footage of funny or epic moments you may have noticed that the sound doesn't always work properly and is out of sync. After lots of Goolging the issue is very common and long standing bug that hasn't been fixed by Microsoft. This only affects "Optimised for series X|S" games.
If captures are out of sync try this easy fix.
Launch any game that IS NOT Series X|S optimised! You can tell which are not optimised as they wont have the X|S logo when looking in "My Games and Apps" I tend to use Nuclear Throne as its on Games Pass is quick to start and very small install size (plus it's a great game too). That's it just you dont need to play it just close the game and start the game you are having capture issues with and it should be working correctly now.
The fix may not persist on restarts so you will have to run an un-optimised game after each restart.
Hopefully this will help anyone that has this issue and never found a fix. I suffered it for months before finding out this fixes it.
