I'm looking for an external storage unit for my Series X that I can use to store OG Xbox and 360 games, leaving the SSD free to hold modern games. Any recommendations?

I have a 4TB Seagate Expansion Portable HDD that I have used for Xbox One and Series X. You can get one for little money and it's reliable. You can also pay the price and buy the official expansion card which will be almost invisible and will store and play all kind of games.

@IceCreamKody I bought a pretty cheap MaxData 1TB USB SSD for my Series S to put last gen games on. Weirdly enough it loads most of those older games faster than the internal SSD did.

I got the wd black game drive for Xbox on sale last year and it’s great. I don’t so much play games off it, though I can, as I used it as a backup to offload games off my series x hard drive. The graphics on older games look much better when played from the internal storage.

This, plus the white one comes with 2 months of Game Pass Ultimate in the UK. 3 months if you turn on recurring billing (and then turn it off again!)
