Xbox 360 Ring of Death?

My 360 has started the ring of death. At first it gave me 3 lines and I was able to fix that. But now it's only giving me 1 mark or line and I've unpluged everything givin it time to cool down and it still comes up with the E74. Telling me to contact customer support. And I'm trying not to send it in because my warinty has expired. So any help at all would be appreciated.
