Suggestion:
I had the same thing happen to me and my warranty was expired. I found this guide online and it worked for me and it was way cheaper than buying a new xbox. Check it out http://1213dn2jt03-9t2mg495prfs6s.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=STOFF055 and you can do it yourself, so I was able to fix mine again.
