Xbox 360 Hard Drive Red Ring of Death?

When I turn on my xbox 360 it will only work without my hard drive. So now im wondering whats wrong with my hard drive? Please give me a way to resolve this. I get one ring when my hard drive is connected.

Check out this link. It gives multiple solutions depending on your situation. This is for 1 flashing light, which I think you meant by one ring, but if you have more then one 1 flashing light just click support.
