Xbox 360 Console Transfer with 'ring of Death'?
my xbox 360 has the dreaded 'ring of death' / the 3 red lights. i've heard my xbox is now completely useless so i'm getting the new xbox 360 slim in two weeks. When i get the new xbox, how do i transfer my gamertag and game scores and progress and information and everything onto the new console when my current, useless, console can't even turn on?

Suggestion:
if you have xbox live you can retrieve your gamertag but if you don't, you will have to buy a data transfer cable and transfer all data directly from you hard drive but with the rrod /3 redd lights it may not be the console it may be the hard drive if then you have no chance because 3 red lights mean that you have 1 or more hardware failure
