Suggestion:
The reason for the RRD , especially with the first Xbox 360's is they got over heated way to easy and when the inside of the Xbox got so over heated it would melt the main board inside the 360 to where it would begin to bend and the mother board would pretty much fry.

The "Red Ring of Death" (Or RROD for short), means that you'll see three red lights on the ring, which means that the 360 broke.
If you don't want the RROD, then keep your 360 horizontal, don't put it on the carpet and keep it in open space.
