My Xbox 360 Has Red Ring of Death and the Disk Tray Wont Open, and the Fan Dont Work.. Any Soultion Pls?
It is not due to overheating because I don't play much.. I tried other methods on YouTube, but it seems my problem isn't that .. maybe its not the red of death at all…… (3 red lights)… towel trick , etc .. don't work…there's no prob in the wiring… I checked the wires, hard disk and all components..but still not working!
Suggestion:
u should state the versoin of the xbox, it would help

If you tried the towel trick, then good luck fixing it.
All the towel trick does is permanently damage it.
Have you checked that the heat sink is in good shape? You may need to replace it, or re-apply the thermal paste.
If your xbox is less than 3 years old microsoft has given you a warenty for red ring of death i bieleve and you can contact them and they will fix it as long as its fixable and under 3 years old
I cannot guarantee that this will work (or that it won't cause any more damage to your console), but I have had a perfect track record of fixing 7 XBox's with the method I'm about to say. Proceed at your own risk.
The towel trick that you see on youtube doesn't work the way they show it. However, I've developed my own variation on this that does in fact work. First: Take your XBox apart. You can find a good guide here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0zFHf704M0 Now, the video has this warning, but I will say it, too. This will void your warranty (if your warranty is up, then I guess this doesn't really matter). You will now have a silver, metal box. Next: Remove the 6 silver colored screws from the edges of this case. Next: Unplug the connector for the fans at the mother board. Next: Completely wrap the unit in a thick blanket. Make sure that you can see the lights on the front. Next: Plug in the unit and turn it on. It will take a while, but what will happen is the CPU will get to about REALLY hot, causing the solder on the board to melt and reconnect. When this happens, the 3 lights will suddenly change to 2 lights (that's why I said to make sure that you can see the lights). Next: Unplug your XBox and KEEP IT UNDER THE BLANKET. If you take it out now, it will not work. Wait at least 30 minutes to take it out. Once you can touch the heat sink (that big piece of metal sticking up from the board) for at least 10 seconds without feeling any pain, then you can remove the console from the blanket. Now, plug the fans back in and turn it on again. It should give you the rotating green lights that says it's booting up. If this happens, then congratulations! You're XBox works. Go ahead and put it all back together (after unplugging it again, that is) and enjoy your new (kind of) XBox! If it doesn't work, well, refer to the above disclaimer…
