Does the New Xbox 360 Slim Get the Red Ring of Death?

I was going to get a ps3 slim a month ago but then i found out it gets the YLOD . So im planning to get a new xbox 360 slim but i want to know if it gets the red ring of death. And if it does what is the percentage of it getting it. And also what is the percentage of the ps3 slim getting the YLOD?

Suggestion:

Well your Playstation 3 question is much quicker to answer, so I'll start with that. The chances of any given Playstation 3 getting the "yellow light of death" are less than one percent.

Now that that's out of the way, let's talk Xbox. First off, no new Xbox 360 will get the red ring of death. Microsoft did away with that symptom of console failures to try and take away some people's bad memories of it from the system's early days. Instead, you'll get an error message on your TV when something bad happens to your console. It's essentially the same thing as the red ring of death, but hey, I like to split hairs. That said, the new Xbox 360s do still get critical errors, and at a significantly higher rate than Playstation 3s do. Microsoft's done a great job of reducing the frequency of an issue that shouldn't have existed in the first place, but it's still a lot more common than most people are comfortable with. The failure rate of new Xbox 360s is somewhere between 10 and 15 percent, although nobody knows exactly what it is since Microsoft has danced around consumers and refused to give out any solid figures.

Now, there are a ton of things to consider when deciding which game system to buy. However, since you seem only to be looking at the failure rate as a factor, I'd recommend the Playstation 3. The Xbox 360 failure rate isn't even close to what it used to be, but it's still not low enough for most people to be comfortable.

Both consoles have problems….

The xbox is said not to get the RROD any more but that is because they took out the red light :D

The ps3 does get the YLOD but it had a much higher reliability then the xbox did.

Yet i think it is much too early to ask whether the new xbox has reliability problems because it has only been released recently yet if you look on youtube some problems have occurred like the disc scratching because some idiot picked up the xbox when the disc was spinning and even though the new xbox has more vents it does overheat occasionally if they are covered despite what some people have said.

no the slim will NEVER have any type of hardware failure, the console shuts down before damage can be done. plus the red LED lights have been removed lol. so the new slim is definitely reliable due to brand new components inside the 360. i would buy that instead of a ps3, i have one and they are sweet! and cooler looking than the ps3

The answerer besides me is wrong. They do NOT get RROD, they fixed that in all xbox 360's.
The percentage of the x360 slim is 0%
For the ps3 slim I would say about 5% change of getting it
