Suggestion:
You need a router and internet connection. If your router is wireless, then you need the wireless adapter on the back of your xbox 360, and it costs around $99. If not, then you need to run an ethernet cable from your xbox360 directly to your router. Once you do that, you'll need to run the "test connection" on your xbox 360, and then once that is finished….you're ready to play xbox live. Good luck. It all takes about 15 mins max to do.
