PS: the only thing i haven't tried is to reset my router, its one of the Fios routers but it is in my dads home office but he locked it because he is out of town so i cant get to it.
Suggestion:
A PC and a Mac are very different in many different ways software wise. Even though Bill Gates might have created over 75% of Mac's beloved software, Microsoft and Mac still do not co-exist in their own little world whatsoever.
Xbox360, being created by microsoft, and your Mac book pro being made by Macintosh, make it impossible to connect your xboxlive to your Macbook because the Mac is not present with Microsoft MediaCenter. Until future upgrades are available for any product from Macintosh; your beloved Xbox360 and Macbook can't connect.
TO CONNECT YOUR XBOX360 TO XBOX LIVE
you must take an ethernet cable from a standardized modem of your choice or router with internet connection and insert it into the back of your 360, then proceed to turn off the modem by unplugging it and plugging it back in (this will let the modem recourse and realize it's no longer connected to a computer but a different type of console requiring diff requisites to connect it). Your xbox must be off during this process aswell.
IF A MODEM IS NOT ABLE TO BE PRESENT
the only way able to connect to xboxlive is to go to your nearest electronic store. Buy a wireless linksys digital router, then go to the xbox section and buy an Xbox wireless connection for you xbox.
All together this will cost around 100$ but it's the only way to connect, same rules apply for ps3
I've never seen an xbox connect through a mac to play live before. That's a little hard to believe. Maybe theirs some sort of software you have to download somewhere for it to work?

APPLE CO. HATES MICROSOFT, SO MICROSOFT STUFF DOESNT WORK, PLUS BILL GATES HATE EVERYONE WHO OWNS A IPOD AND NOT THE ZUNE
Run a ethernet cord from the back of your router into the xbox. It's not ideal, but it will solve your problem.
