Trying to Set Up My New Xbox 360 but Can't Remember My Password to Windows Live. Any Ideas?

So I've had the same Xbox Live gamer tag since the day xbox live started and they have always made it hard to keep it going when switching boxes. Back when they started associating xbox live profiles/gamertags with windows live Id's it got the hardest. I was given essentially a proxy email of (gamertag)@xbox360.com and set up a password. but I don't remember the password and the only way to reset it appears to be sending a link to the proxy email xbox gave me. Which as I understand it dosen't really exist. Any body have this same problem and possibly a solution? because the help center number for windows live that goes to India that was incredibly hard to find was no help at all.

Go to that site and select "Can't access your account?"

From there, select one of the three options.
