Problem with Comcast Triple Play Deal Kinda Crappy?

This morning my family had the Comcast triple play deal installed, and of course i was asleep and so the installer set up a Thomson DHG536 modem thingy, and connected it to the living room computer, which worked and was ~10x faster then the previous setup, the problem is we have 2 computers, and i woke up this afternoon to no internets. Apparently this DHG536 modem thing only gives out 1 ip, so what exactly do i do now? they signed a 2 year contract. i've seen around that people connect a wireless router to the DHG and that works, but to set up a wireless network we would have to buy over 200 dollars in adapters and xbox doo-dads which is stupid. Any suggestions? our internet went from 250kb/s to 2.5mb/s with this deal, we only to have 2 computers and 2 xbox's hardwired, which we had done before using linksys 5 ethernets switches and a qwest M1000, this is frustrating, and also the effng "i" key on my keyboard is going out fml

Suggestion:

Just get a router. It doesn't have to be wireless. Plug the router into your modem, and everything else into the router. Because your router does NAT, you only need the one IP. Your internet service provider did not break your 'i' key. Doo-dads are stupid.

Just buy a router. You don't need many special adapters. Most routers will have 5 Ethernet ports on the back. 1 to the modem and 4 to devices. All you need is 5 Ethernet cables and a router. The manual of your router should tell you how to set it up.
