My Xbox 360 Won't Connect to Xbox Live Plz Help?

i have just moved to a new house and i am trying to set up my xbox live but i can connect to the network just not the internet let alone live plz help i already put in the password for the connction i have never done this before so anything would help

Suggestion:

call the company that runs your internet to check (verizon/comcast etc) there might be something wrong with your motem/router if that does not work call microsoft for the problem. I had the same problem but microsoft helped.
