- my internet service provider is Cincinnati Bell. They gave me a Westell small router.
- I pay 30 a month for it
-my internet will randomly quit working sometimes. Like the light on the router will shut off, and thus i cant browse the web or play xbox live at that moment, but it will come back on like a minute later.
-Also, when Im on xboxlive, my NAT connection is moderate, and so my connection with players is limited. I dont know how to change the settings for a Westell router.
-Ive considered switching to one of those linksys routers at walmart ive seen, looks like a good router (is it good for xblive? easy set up?)
-Also on the linksys routers, is there a monthly fee on them for the internet? How does it work?
-Cincinnati Bell (my service provider) has given me a few new replacable routers that are exactly the same during the past year, but I still have issues. Is it the company or the router? Should I switch?
sorry for all the questions, I just need all that answered or atleast explained to me. I would really appreciate for a solid response!
PS. My household has two internet lines. The main one (my dads pc, moms pc, and bros PS3) are connected to. Then there is my own personal one where my pc is connected to and my xbox is too.
Suggestion:
Comcast has pretty good internet service but there is no internet service that can provide 100% excellent error free 0 down time.
