I Can't Set Up My Xbox Live. Can You Guys Help Me.?

I have a adapter and a router. But evry time I try It won't work. My cousins have xbox online but when they try to set up mine it wont work. I tried going on xbox.com, youtube, google, and none of them work. I had all the stuff for a year and I still didn't get xbox online. PLEASE HELP!

Is your router strong enough for online gaming ? Is your 360 close enough to the router to detect it ? did you properly try to set up your xbox live account ?
