How to Set Up Xbox Live (360 Slim)?

i just got the xbox 360 slim and i am trying to set up live..it didnt pick up my internet (i have a router) so i manually typed in the internet's name. It found it but when it asks if it is WEP 64 bit, WEP 128 bit, WPA, or WPA2 i tried to choose WEP because on my ipod touch my wifi is classified as WEP. i tried to use both WEPs and neither would work so i decided to try WPA2 and it said 'connected' but then when it said 'choose your internet connection', one option was "linksys" (my internet) and it said connected. So i click on it and it says type in your WPA2 key so i typed in my password and it acts like it accepts it…then it goes right back to choose your network and it just keeps going back and forth.. I'm not really sure what to do, its connected to my internet with 3, sometimes 2, bars.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Suggestion:

you should go into your router settings and see what the encryption type is. linksys is a common id for networks so maybe double check to see if that is actually your home connection and not like a neighbors.
