How Do I Set Up a Xbox Live Account?

Either go to www.xbox.com and register or go to your xbox dashboard and click "redeem an xbox live gamertage" and follow the on-screen instructions.

NOTE:your xbox must be connected to the internet either via an ethernet cable or wireless adapter

Answer:

1. You will need to make a Windows Live ID account. To do this, just go to http://www.xbox.com and go to log in/sign up and enter your email and desired password. They will send a confirmation email to activate your account.

2. On your xbox, log in to your profile you desire to connect to Xbox Live.

3. Hit the xbox guide button on your controller (the big grey one with the green X in the center).

4. Find the option on the page that comes up called "Connect to Xbox Live" and select it.

5. Microsoft helps you through the rest.

NOTE: They will ask for your age! When they ask for your age, tell them you're 18 if you're too young because, if you don't, then you will have to deal with all of the dumb parental controls. Plus, they make you enter a valid credit card number to verify that you have an adult if you say you're not 18.
