my internet is just a little modem thing that plugs into my usb. like verizon internet but its a different phone company. i have a linksys wrt54g router. one ethernet cord is going from the router to the xbox. another ethernet cord is going from the router to the back of my computer.
it lets me connect to xbox live, but when i go to test pc connection it says pc is not listed.
whats wrong?
is it my firewall?
cause the xbox said i have to allow ports or some crap to make media sharing work but i dont know how to do that.
but even if im not media sharing shouldnt it just be able to find my computer?
im using windows vista
Suggestion:
just go to your windows media player, hit the tab that says library
scroll down to share media ( or something like that )
find your xbox ( its literally a 360 console on there )
click allow/share
bam your done
have vista, and i have mine, my brothers, my girlfriends and our pc all on one modem ( 4 port ethernet ) and this is how we did it… very simple once you know how
