Suggestion:
The only thing that plugs into a USB port and will work is the Xbox wireless adapter. The only other thing you can use is a wireless range extender which can operate in bridge mode. This is not something the average end user will figure out how to do.
If you want good performance, I strongly recommend powerline or MoCa.
