Suggestion:
No, not for a Modem.
You'd need one if you want a wireless router (just the 1st time, to set-up your password (WEP key) in, so neighbor don't steal your network).
If you want it wireless, just get a friend to come with a laptop and a small Ethernet cable once to set it up.
