Suggestion:
If this is a wireless connection, go to the network settings on the Xbox and delete the connection that is on there. Then hit X or wait for it to rescan and reconnect to it. It should work then. If it does not, then you need to take the power cable out of your modem and/or router for 30 seconds and then try the whole process again.
If this is a wired connection, try taking the cable out and restarting the console, then put it back in. And maybe unplug the power from the modem/router also.

if it gives you a code take it to xbox.com and see what it gives you. Im sure you've already turned off your modem and router and all that but if you haven't try that.
